Hello everyone! hope y’all doing alright, I am so confused on the check blazer status in the fashion world, I don’t remember where I saw it as a trend for Spring/Summer 2018, and I still see it on Instagram, Pinterest, and other blogs,
however I feel that it is such a fall/winter piece, specially for the fabric and colors. Although its current status is undefined I still wear it at least once a week and receive compliments on it. I got this blazer from Target on September 2017, when I was going nuts because I could not find one (Zara was sold out and Forever21 + H&M didn’t had them yet) but good ol’ target never fails.
However, this post’s focus is not on the blazer, but on these amazing and super comfy white boots from Forever21. I have been wanting a pair of white boots but I didn’t dare to buy them because I was scared that I was going to have a hard time styling them. Which I did, but I found the perfect combo for them and I am already planning a pretty different outfit for maybe another post (comment down below if you wanna see them again!).
For this look, I decided to keep everything pretty basic because I wanted the boots to be the center of attention. So I am wearing the good ol’ checked blazer, a white tee from H&M, and cropped straight denim from Asos petite. For a bag I went for this Forever21 ring bag, which I love and I wore a little medallion necklace. I like how the outfit is pretty basic but the white boots tie everything together giving the outfit a whole different vibe.
So, today’s challenge is my fave quote, I used to have tons and tons of quotes that I like but lately I have not been reading any. This is a super old one, which I really like; I know it seems quite suicidal but I think it gives you hope for the future as well. Last year, i hit my midlife crisis and I started to compare people’s life to mine, they are traveling, getting married, have more followers than me on Instagram etc.while i am here struggling to juggle college, an internship, and my crappy job in retail, not being able to travel because my crappy job does not pay enough for me to save, I am def not getting married any time soon. Even thought I am still stuck in this horrible situation, there is more of life that will come and this is will pass, and this is what this quote is about, or at least that’s how I see it.
I apologize with the rumbling, hope that made sense…
Thanks for reading!
