The day I shot this look, me and my photographer were on North Park, San Diego. As we were shooting this, a guy passed on his car and I saw him recording us. I didn’t think twice and flipped him off, then the piece of s…guy says “What?” laughing. He completely killed my vibe, so we finished shooting that look and we left. I was so angry, and to be honest, little bit humiliated. I know this happens to other influencers, who as they are shooting their content, men take photos of them or record them. I truly don’t understand why men try so hard to humiliate women.
I use the word humiliate because I can’t find other explanation for the behavior. It is kind of like when men record women walking because they have a big butt, tights or hips. What are they going to do with that other than know they are secretly humiliating her. If they wanted to masturbate because they are pervs would not be easier to just watch porn? It’s easier to achieve the wanted result. The purpose is to humiliate. To know that they have a right over her body.
I did feel humiliated, uncomfortable and self conscious, but overall I felt a very controlled anger directed towards men.
In conclusion, to me this yet another form of men trying to humiliate women. Why he recorded me so openly? The answer: to humiliate me, make me feel uncomfortable and self conscious. Which he kind of achieved. I did feel humiliated, uncomfortable and self conscious, but overall I felt a very controlled anger directed towards men.
I don’t respect their breed/kin anymore. I don’t trust them, I don’t believe in them, and for the most part I don’t want anything to do with them .
If you have been reading my blog for some time, you know that I rarely speak about this things. Even though if you ask me I am a feminist. But it is that for the most part, feminism is a topic that sparks a lot of controversy. I don’t like being too confrontational, especially on-line. It is completely opposite if we are talking face to face, as I do give my point of view. Apparently, I work the other way around, where I feel that behind a screen is not as interesting to debate as it is in person.
Anyways, this is getting long and i am going to leave it at that. For this look, I am wearing a long trench coat from Forever21, which I got a gazillion years ago and which you probably have seen and will continue to see over and over again. Check my other posts with this trench on here.
For a top, I am wearing a black turtle neck top. This was a Christmas present from a co-worker and I love it. Now the star of the show is this checked midi skirt, which I bought from Forever21 a couple of weeks ago. Check the Checked Skirt here. I am obsessed with this checked skirt, I love how fancy and expensive it looks, when in reality it costs less than $20. I feel it matches with a lot of different colors, plus brown checks are super trendy at the moment.
For boots, I am wearing my current favorites shoes, these western burgundy boots from Zara. You can check the boots out here.
I love this outfit because it makes me feel super chic and fashionable. Also, SD has been quite warm in the last couple of days, thus it has the perfect amount of layers.
What do you guys think about this outfit? Most importantly, what do you guys think of the first part of this blog? Have you been through something similar?
