Hey there! Happy new year! this year flew by so fast. I had an OK year, great in some aspects, crappy in others but I guess you can’t have it all. New Years is my favorite holiday by far, besides halloween of course… because I like to receive the new year in full glam. If it where up to me I would be wearing a gala dress for New Years. Unfortunately, the places I usually go to in NYE are not fancy, so I have to tone it down a bit. Nonetheless, I am glamming up in comparison to my usual party outfits. So this is New Years holiday outfit.
Also, check my previous Christmas holiday outfit HERE to see what I wore for Christmas!
My main inspiration for this look is Old Hollywood (1920’s – 1940’s) glam style. Currently, I am vibing with this style so so much. It is also one of my goals to have an Old Hollywood photoshoot. Anyways, for my New Years holiday outfit, I am wearing this beautiful midi silky dress from Forever21. I love the shape of this dress, I think it is so classy and elegant. Check it out here.
My shoes are from Steve Madden and I got them for my sister’s wedding a long time ago. Originally, these are not the heels I was going to wear, but a beautiful pair from Unique Vintage, however, my neighbor had them for around 5 days. I am pretty sure she was wondering if she could keep them. Fortunately for me, she returned them (in an open box.. I am pretty sure she was wondering if someone in her family could wear them, luckily for me I am a size 5 and I doubt she found someone who could wear them LOL).
Also, I am loving this site because of the vintage vibes, especially the velvet dresses. I know I will be coming back here for to buy an Old Hollywood inspired dress for my future photoshoot.
As for earrings, I am wearing this old cascade earrings that belong to my momma. I decided to not wear anymore jewelry because I wanted to keep this look elegant but simple.
I really hope you guys have a great holiday season with your love ones and that we all have a great 2019! Thank you so much for reading, I really truly appreciate it
and I will see you NEXT YEAR!
