I was scrolling down Pinterest the other day and stumble upon this 31 day challenge for bloggers and I thought it would be fun to see if I can accomplish it. Since I already have my content calendar ready for this month, I thought I would keep those for the days they are going up and the rests of the days or “days off” keep moving down the list for the challenge. So for day one is the INTRODUCTION, I am not really sure what that means… I already introduced the challenge.
if it is an intro for me here it goes:
My name is Julie, I am a 25 year old college student, I am majoring in psychology from San Diego State University supposedly this semester but who knows (fingers crossed and eyes to books), I have a part-time job at a clothing store (retail sucks) and an internship in a center for seniors. I started this blog around a year ago, although I was in blogger and moved to WordPress in October, If I had to describe my personal style would be that I am something like the antagonist of the California girl; i think I am a contradiction between edgy and classy.
I am also addicted to coffee and anything that is high on sugars like cookies, cake, Hershey’s pie, pancakes, chocolates and peach rings. Anyways, there is a similar challenge on the challenge list that is on a number of facts to know about me, so I am going to keep myself a mystery until that day comes.
*Now onto the actual blog post*
Recently I went to see Lana del Rey live, I was so excited because this is the first time I go to a concert by myself + I have never seen her live before.
The concert turn out to be super good, I wish I would have bought better seats, and although mine were not the cheapest, I was super far away. Anyways, getting ready for a concert is a pretty though situation, especially when it comes to what you can get in and what you cant. Probably after what happen in Ariana Grande’s concert security measures where updated. Now, the security guys carry a little food plastic container and your bag has to fit in it or they won’t let you in.
Because I knew the situation and I hate carrying bags, I got this little guy from Urban Outfitters, I had a weird feeling on fanny packs because I have never really like them, but this one is perfect because its mostly like a waist…bag (?). What I love about it is that it looks more like a little clutch than an actual fanny pack; and it fits the essentials: phone, a lipstick and has a compartment for credit cards and ID, and it ishands free because it goes around your waist or hips, you can also customize it to tie it around your back.
Also, I think is perfect for a night out because you don’t really have to struggle carrying it around, or worrying because you left it a the table and you are scared that someone is going to steal your $$.
This is the outfit I wore for Lana’s concert, I am so obsessed with this denim-turtle neck combo because it is comfortable and it looks cool, (like a poet haha). To add some edgy-ness to the outfit I wore a white fur jacket (which unfortunately i spilled wine on it) and my fave right now: vinyl boots and of course the fanny pack.
Another way I want to style it is to use it as a belt on top of a buttoned blazer (top underneath the blazer optional) and maybe black vinyl pants and boots.
