I love a good white monochrome outfit, especially when they have a pop color. I find the pop of color to be an interesting addition to an outfit because it adds visual interest. Right now it is the perfect season to wear white monochrome outfit because well it is almost summer. Nothing beats a hot steamy summer as looking super fresh in all white outfit.
I am a devoted outfit repeater, and as you can see I am repeating items from past posts. For a top, I am wearing a white basic tee from H&M, I really like H&M basics because they are lightweight and breezy, plus you can’t beat the price. Also, I am wearing these white wide cropped leg denim, also from H&M, which you saw on my this previous post.
This bag, which you probably have seen a gazillion times. It is my precious straw bag that I bought in Yucatan, Mexico. I love this bag because it looks different from the rest of the straw bags that are in the market. To add a pop of color I am wearing my red kitten heels from Asos. These shoes have gone through so much (halloween 2017, New Year 2018, my uni graduation) and I still love them.
For accessories I am wearing a pair of old “gold” earrings from Forever21 and a minimal dainty necklace, which was a graduation gift from my momma.
On another subject: If you have been reading this blog for a while or follow me on instagram, you may have noticed that I do repeat items on multiple occasions. I used to feel quite chill or relaxed about repeating items. However, as my online presence grows, I have been feeling an increase pressure for buying new clothes, accessories, and shoes. The over saturation of the blog sphere definitely creates more competition, which turns creates the pressure to create new and better content. Thus, the increase pressure to buy and buy and buy new trendy items. As result, I feel that I walked into a toxic cycle.
Don’t get me wrong, I love fashion otherwise I would had never created this blog. But personally, I dislike feeling this way because, for me, having a strong sense of style is more important than being trendy or fashionable. Trends come and go so fast it is becoming so hard to keep up with them. Personally, there is no way I can keep up with them. Buying trends means a closet full of items that for the most part wont be useful next year and tons of money wasted. I guess the point I want to make is that I don’t believe you need to keep buying trends to be stylish.
This is the main reason I did this post: I am not wearing anything new. I am wearing items that I wear on a daily basis but creating something new and quite trendy looking. I am planning on expanding more on this subject and dedicate a whole post to it, but right now I feel I am all over the place, hopefully you quite know what I mean, right? right? or at least have a clue?
Anyways, I am going to stop babbling and thank you so much for reading, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and are enjoying the NEW BLOG! if you have any suggestions on how it would look better or wanna let me know if you like it or not please comment down below and let me know what you think.
