For this post I decided to show you the worst purchases I have made over the years. Ok this is a though one. Back in the day, like three or four years ago, I was something really similar to a shopping addict.
You are not going to find expensive things on my wardrobe because that is not how I roll. However, I think this is worst. It is easier to put your hands in cheap stuff than it is for expensive stuff. Mostly because if you are going to buy a Chanel bag you will do research, think about it, plan how are you going to introduce the bag in your lifestyle, wearability etc. However, when you buy a $30 dollar blouse it is way easier to dismiss. So here they are the worst purchases I have made over the years:
Lace-up Heels: Asos
I bought these shoes a couple of years ago. I must say they are beautiful and sexy, and that is it for these shoes. First, the heel is 4 inches; passing 3.5 is officially too high for me and they are impossible to walk in. I did not return them when they first arrived because according to me, there were many possibilities that I needed a pair of sexy shoes. Which is funny because I rarely go out, and if I had plans of going out I would never reach for this shoes because of how uncomfortable they are.
Do you guys remember when Coachella fashion first took off? Well, that was when I first got this jacket. I used to think that that California Coachella vibe was so cool, of course this jacket was not my style at all! I only wore this jacket three times and then I began feeling ridiculous. It was a little too much for me. Don’t get me wrong, the quality is amazing, for being a Forever21 jacket, and I really like the cut of the jacket it self, but it ain’t for me at all.
SHOP THE LOOK
Levy’s Sherpa Jacket
I got this jacket out of ebay. The main reason of why I did this was because I was looking around and these type of jackets are so expensive. This particular jacket is a man’s extra-small and it came in really bad condition. I mean for the price and what was shown in the pictures the jacket seemed to be ok. However, when it arrived the sherpa on the inside was pretty dark, the cuff on the sleeves were torn and the jacket itself had a couple of little wear holes. I had to wash it multiple times to get some soil in the sleeves off of it. I could not make this jacket work because it was waaay too big so owning this jacket was a waste of money and closet space.
Another one of my worst purchases is a black pinstripe missguided jumpsuit. I am obsessed with jumpsuits, I think they are so chic, sexy and they make you look taller. However, jumpsuits are not my thing AT ALL. For once, I am pretty short ( I proudly stand at 5’2.6″), I have a short torso which means that when I wear a jumpsuit I have extra crotch space hanging. I can hide a watermelon there and no one would notice. Also, because I am short, jumpsuits are extremely long on me.
But these are not all of the issues with this jumpsuit: one, I think this jumpsuit came a little small. Usually a size 4 will fit me perfectly, but this jumpsuit is really tight around my waist, hips and bust, which takes me to point 2. Two: my boobs are so tight in there that the buttons section in the middle of the chest area its so tight and stretched that you can see my bra and cleavage. Overall, I hated this jumpsuit so much I ended donating it, hopefully someone smaller than me will fit there. I really wish brands will take in consideration the fact that some women who are extra-small and small also have big boobs, and we need the extra space.
that is it, those are the worst purchases I have made in my life time.
